Lea Guard Privacy Policy

Lea Guard is a Chrome extension designed to reduce unwanted exposure to suspected online harassment. It analyzes supported website content, hides potentially harmful material, and helps users preserve evidence and prepare user-reviewed reports.

Information Lea Guard handles

Depending on the features a user chooses to use, Lea Guard may handle:

• Visible website text, images, links, posts, and comments.
• Page URLs, website names, timestamps, and evidence screenshots.
• Messages that users enter into the Lea chat interface.
• Contact information voluntarily saved for report preparation, including name, birth date, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
• Google authorization information required to connect the user’s own Google Drive account.
• Basic technical request information processed by hosting providers when the extension communicates with the Lea AI service.

How information is used

Lea Guard uses this information only to:

• Assess supported website content for possible harassment or abuse.
• Display protective warnings and hide potentially harmful content.
• Answer questions about the user’s latest scan.
• Create and maintain the user-controlled device evidence Vault.
• Upload user-approved screenshots and supporting evidence to the user’s own Google Drive.
• Prepare user-reviewed platform or IC3 report drafts when requested.
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service.

AI processing

Content selected for AI analysis may be transmitted securely to the Lea backend hosted using Cloudflare and processed using Google Gemini. These services process the submitted content to provide Lea’s analysis and chat features.

Lea Guard does not use website content or personal information for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending decisions.

Device storage

User settings, report-preparation information, and evidence records may be stored in Chrome extension storage on the user’s device. Evidence saved in Lea’s device Vault is encrypted. The user can remove locally stored information by using Lea’s controls or uninstalling the extension.

Google Drive

Google Drive backup is optional. Lea requests Google authorization only after the user chooses to connect Drive and approves Google’s consent screen. Lea uses that access to create and manage its evidence folder in the user’s Drive.

Users can disconnect Google Drive or remove Lea-created Drive copies using Lea’s settings. Files stored in Drive remain under the user’s control unless the user chooses to delete them.

IC3 and platform reports

Lea may prepare report drafts and prefill evidence-backed fields after the user requests assistance. Lea does not automatically submit reports, complete CAPTCHAs, provide legal attestations, add a digital signature, or press a final Submit button. The user must review and control every filing.

Sharing and selling information

Lea Guard does not sell user data. Information is transferred only when necessary to provide Lea’s user-facing features, including AI analysis, user-authorized Google Drive backup, security, or compliance with law.

Security

Lea uses HTTPS for network communications and encrypts evidence stored in the device Vault. Users should connect only a private Google account that they control.

Data retention and deletion

Local information remains until the user deletes it or removes the extension. Google Drive evidence remains until the user deletes it through Lea or Google Drive. Lea does not intentionally create a separate server-side evidence archive through ordinary AI-analysis requests. Infrastructure providers may process limited security and operational logs under their applicable policies.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when Lea Guard’s features or data practices change. The effective date will be updated when a change is made.
